Starting in 2007, Indiana teenager Jordan Witzigreuter began retreating to his parent's basement to record songs that straddled the border between melodic emo-pop and bubbly electronica. Although he adopted a name for the project -- the Ready Set -- Witzigreuter took a solo approach to the songs, which he recorded and performed entirely by himself. Within two years, he'd landed a contract with Decaydance Records, who paired him up with a number of veteran emo producers (including Zack Odom, Kenneth Mount, and Matt Squire) to record a debut album. The result was I'm Alive, I'm Dreaming, which appeared in 2010. ~ Andrew Leahey, Rovi special guests Breathe Carolina Colorado-based electro/screamo duo Breathe Carolina formed in 2006 around the talents of Kyle Even and David Schmitt. The Denver group's blend of synth-based beats and melodic screaming first appeared on the public radar in 2007 with the self-released Gossip EP. It was followed in 2008 by the band's first full-length for Rise Records, It's Classy, Not Classic, which featured all of the tracks that appeared on Gossip with six new additional songs. The duo has toured relentlessly, sharing the stage with contemporaries such as the Secret Handshake, Millionaires, and Brokencyde. ~ James Christopher Monger, Rovi 7:30pm Day of Show All Ages Presale $15 terryharper.com / DOS $18.00 ______________________________________________

Terryharper.com Presents Sabaton (Sweden) All Ages 7:30 PM EDT (7:00 PM Doors) Swedish band Sabaton have been a major force in the power metal field since the mid-'00s, but had to battle through significant difficulties to get there, which may explain their eventual creative obsession with everything war-related. The Art of War, and 2010's Coat of Arms, all of them bursting at the seams with historic and mythical chronicles of battle set to anthemic power metal. Eduardo Rivadavia, Rovi
